Social Security Overview

Tom Keough from the Social Security Administration will present on Wednesday, September 17 from 7-8 p.m. an overview of Social Security programs such as Retirement, Survivors, Disability Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the Prescription Drug Subsidy program, followed by a Q&A session. This program is Free and open to the public.

Taste of Chocolate program

Kim from Kim’s Confections will talk about the history and types of chocolate on Tuesday, September 16 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. There will be samples for tasting. Come to this program if you enjoy chocolate! This program is FREE and open to the public.

YA on TV - Samurai Girl

The Samurai Girl series by Carrie Asai has been adapted into a six-hour mini-series on the ABC Family channel. The three night event begins Friday, September 5th. For more details and to samurai-ize yourself, check out The Samurai Girl site.

The library owns all six books in the paperback series starting with The Book of the Sword.
