Teen Tech Week 2008 - Tune in @ your library


The Young Adult Library Services Association created Teen Tech Week to make teens and their parents aware of the technology offered in libraries and to help teens become responsible library users. This year's theme Tune In @ your library focuses on music and music-related technology in libraries.

The Young Adult Department is offering several programs during Teen Tech Week, March 2-8, for patrons in grades 6-12.

GAMING AFTERNOON
Tuesday, March 4
DDR – 3-4 PM
Guitar Hero – 4-5:30 PM
Registration begins on February 26

GOTH SOCK MONKEYS
Thursday, March 6
4-4:45 PM
As part of Teen Tech Week, create your own sock monkey.
Registration begins February 28.

FLICKR CLASS
Saturday, March 8
Beginning at 2 PM
This class will serve as a basic introduction to the popular online service. It will cover account creation, uploading pictures, organizing photos, and sharing with friends. The class will also teach patrons about tags, searching, and online privacy.
