As of Sunday, October 7, 2007 everyone in the region will need to dial 1 plus the full 10-digit number to reach another 630 phone. Due to a shortage of numbers, a new area code will be introduced in the region. The new area code is 331 and will most likely be used for cell phone customers.
Don't worry, if you forget to dial the area code, you will get a friendly reminder of the transition!
