Summer Reading Poster Contest for Teens

The Illinois Library Association and Illinois Reading
Enrichment and Development (iREAD) are sponsoring
a Poster Contest. This contest is artists entering grades 6-12. Posters need to demonstrate the theme “SCARE UP A GOOD BOOK”. The poster will be the basis
for the Young Adult iREAD Summer Reading
Program in 2010.
The poster should include images of books or something related to reading. All art and characters must be original, and the poster should be appropriate for hanging in public libraries. Poster size can be up to 19 inches by 26 inches.
Entry forms are available at the Adult Services Desk. Entries must be received by July 31st. The Glenside Library's winner will receive a prize and will go on to the district semi-finals.

The posters will become property of the Illinois Library
Association. The Statewide winner will be announced in October, 2008, and that winner will receive $1000 in prize money. For more information go to www.ila.org/iread.
