Sarah Dessen is one of the Young Adult Librarian's favorite authors. She writes wonderful realistic fiction. In her newest novel Lock And Key : A Novel , Ruby, abandoned by her mother, must go to live with the sister she has not seen in ten years. Throughout the novel, Ruby encounters interesting secondary characters as she learns to trust.Although I did not enjoy it as much as my personal favorite The Truth About Forever, I would recommend the book to anyone looking for a good story about what it means to be a family and a friend.
